In Memoriam

All of us who live in Cleveland County owe a debt of gratitude to the local historians who came before us. They were dedicated to the preservation of the history of our county in a time before it was easy. They conducted research the old fashioned way–by visiting court houses, libraries, churches and cemeteries, and conducting personal interviews. Their compilations and stories were either hand-written or typed on a manual typewriter. To their descendants, we say, “We are thankful for your ancestor.”
